Family-run Earl Shilton restaurant, Fourwards, has finally released its menus for the festive season. Featuring a Christmas Set Menu and a Festive PDR (Private Dining Room) Menu, these new dishes embody elegance, taste, and quality.

Fans of the restaurant, far and wide, have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of such menus, as the restaurant is recognised for its innovative approach to the organic, high-quality and intimate dining experience.

On the Christmas Set Menu, restaurant goers can expect decadent dishes like crispy Brie and truffle honey, salmon gravlax, turkey schnitzel, and orange and cinnamon cheesecake. Of course, no Christmas menu is complete without all the trimmings: seasonal vegetables with garden herb & garlic roasted potatoes, anyone?

If none of these dishes have taken your fancy, worry not — there is a whole menu filled with fresh and flavourful options for you to choose from.

Fourwards Restaurant have been named WINNERS in the category for Best Restaurant, Leicestershire, at the Englands Business Awards.

This award showcases restaurants that demonstrate outstanding service and innovative cuisine. 

On Sunday 21st August, the team attended the awards night at the Raddison Blu Hotel, East Midlands Airport, along with some of Leicestershire’s finest entrepreneurs.

After such a tight competition with many other business’s being nominated, we are happy to say that the award for Best Restaurant in Leicestershire has been awarded to Fourwards Restaurant.

Stacey Ward, part-owner of Fourwards, commented: “We are overwhelmed with the amount of support our customers have shown us. We have worked so hard over the last 4 years to give our customers a beautiful dining experience, and to have been given that recognition for it feels amazing.”

Adam Ward, part-owner of Fourwards also commented: “It was such a fantastic night! Being able to celebrate our achievement with our team was incredible, we would not be where we are today without them. Although we are still on a high from the weekend, we are now entered through to the national finals! We have full confidence in ourselves and our team that we can bring home the Best Restaurant in England.”

The next stage of the awards occur on the 21st August, and the restaurant will be closing early (3pm) on this date to allow the team to enjoy the awards evening.

We’ve not long come back from a lovely family break away, so now we are so excited to get back in the restaurant on the 13th of January.

Our team decided it was time to update our wines to better reflect our restaurant’s rebrand earlier this year.

Best Restaurant in Leicestershire and Rutland Winners 2021

As you may have seen, this year we were lucky enough to be nominated for the ‘Best Restaurant in Leicestershire and Rutland’ in the Muddy Stiletto Awards.

This was a great achievement for us to have won, especially after a tough past two years due to the effects of the pandemic. Our team has worked especially hard throughout the pandemic when we were allowed to open and offer takeaway service, not only because of the pandemic but because of the huge rebranding that we have been through as well.

We used the lockdowns to have a complete refurbish and re-brand of the restaurant to truly make it ours and a better reflection of who we are and the service we offer in our restaurant.

Our entire team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that nominated us for the award and supported us throughout the process. When we found out that we had won, our hearts filled with warmth and joy.

The lovely individuals who were running the Muddy Stilettos Awards invited all the award winners to a delightful celebratory drink at The Bond Street Distillery. The whole process was just amazing to be a part of, and we have you, our incredible customers, to thank for a big part of it.

New Year's Eve Menus Are Here

New Year’s Eve at Fourwards

It wouldn’t be the festive period without us bringing you a NYE menu and part now would it.

Over the NYE weekend, we have got a lot of festivities to offer you such as, a NYE weekend menu which will be running on the 1st and 2nd of January, we will also have specials available to order on these nights as well.

As well as this, we are offering a NYE set menu which will obviously be running on the 31st only and on this night we will be throwing a huge NYE part for you all to come and enjoy celebrating entering the new year. On this night, we ask for an 8 pm arrival and all carriages will be at 1 am.

Both menus consist of your truly seasonal, feel-good dishes to have you feeling all toasty, cosy and satisfied. Of course, we will have our drinks menus available for you to order from on all three nights, and you may even see some festive themed ones on there, so keep a look at those.

The menus for all dates are now live on our website for you to browse, and we are now taking bookings for these dates as well.

We are beyond excited to spend this New Years with you in true Fourwards style, after two years of being restricted, we hope you are too x

New Autumn/Sample Menu 2021

As we are well and truly into the depths of Autumn, we thought it was only right to bring out a seasonal menu for you all to enjoy.

We have now released our all-new Autumn Lunchtime menu, which entails all of your favourite Autumnal go-to meals that warm you up from the inside and make you feel cosy and festive.

This menu has captured all the best aspects of the Autumnal season and will also act as our sample menu for the next coming months.

Not only this, but it also holds an amazing offer alongside it. You are able to have a lovely 2-course meal for just £25 or a further 3rd for just £5 more!

This incredible menu will be available to order from at lunchtime only every Thurs-Sat.

As for the fantastic deal, this will be running at lunchtime for the next 6 months.

Motown Night WIth Songs By Charlotte

We are thrilled to announce that on the 24th of September, we will be holding a fantastic, ticketed Motown night at our restaurant with beautiful live music from the one and only Songs by Charlotte.

Arrival time is 6:30 pm in which you can order your drinks and be shown to your table, and then the night will kickstart at 7:00 pm

The tickets cost £40 each and include a delectable 3-course meal and live Motown music sang by Charlotte.

Our dance floor will be open for you to wander over to and enjoy a boogie, and of course, 60s attire is welcome!

To order your tickets, you need to phone the restaurant and request to purchase your desired amount of tickets, you will then receive a confirmation email of your order along with your digital ticket.

You will be required to show this email on arrival as proof of your booking.

Private Dining Room - Menu

Today, we bring to you, our official PDR menu!

As you know, we currently offer a private dining service for special occasions and private parties and if you have been into our restaurant lately you may know that we also have a new exciting project underway.

This luxurious, fine dining menu will only be available for PDR (private dining room) bookings and cannot be mixed with the usual restaurant menu.

Our private dining offer is a whole experience separate from the ordinary restaurant, more private, more luxurious and extremely special.

This menu will be available to book from the 9th of September, along with another related exciting announcement, you will be able to enjoy this offering between Thurs-Sat 12-9pm and Sundays 12-6pm.

We are thrilled to announce that our Christmas 2021 menus are now live for you to view and book for your Christmas meal with us.

We like to get our Christmas menus out in plenty of time so that our customers can plan their Christmas accordingly and get booked in, far enough in advanced.

In previous years, we have been known to book up extremely quickly for the festive season, so giving you all enough time to book your table is our priority.

Popular Leicestershire Restaurant Re-Launches as Fourwards Restaurant

Taking over an existing restaurant is never easy, and yet husband and wife team, Adam and Stacey Ward, have found the winning formula.

Ashfields Restaurant, located in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire, had been a popular restaurant since 1987; with diners flocking to eat there from all across the County. Adam and Stacey took over the restaurant in 2018 and had been known as Fourwards at Ashfields.

Now, in conjunction with their third anniversary of taking over, they have now decided to re-brand as Fourwards Restaurant; which is a nod towards their family ethos. The hard-working pair also raise their two daughters, with the ‘Four Wards’ coming together to turn the restaurant into a second home.

“When we first took over the restaurant, we wanted to keep a lot of the original restaurant’s features, menus and ways of working.” Head Chef Adam explains.

“We knew that the restaurant was very popular and the last thing we wanted to do was to upset the regulars and long-term fans of the restaurant, so we wanted time to bed in and find our feet.”

“With it now being our third anniversary, and with the amount of time and money we have invested into the building over the past 12 months, we now felt that the time was right to relaunch as Fourwards Restaurant.”

Both Adam and Stacey are passionate about food, flavour and cooking. With two greenhouses on site, and the majority of their produce being grown and reared within 3 miles of the restaurant, they believe strongly in the need for locally and responsibly grown food. Not only do they see this as a benefit for their recipes, but for the environment too.

“Since we won the Best British Restaurant Award back in 2019, we have been working hard to keep making improvements to both the restaurant, and the food.” Stacey tells us.

“The past year has been very tough for us. Very tough indeed. However it has been a good opportunity for us to give back to the building, and to make the changes we always wanted to.”

“We have rejuvenated and refurbished the whole exterior and interior of the restaurant; including the garden spaces. We have also invested in better equipment for the kitchen too.”

”We just want to ensure that every guest that walks through our doors will feel welcome, and will enjoy dining with us.”

“As Fourwards Restaurant, we can continue to raise the profile of the restaurant and will give us the freedom to be as creative and innovative as ever, as Fourwards.”

Fourwards Restaurant are continuing their ever-popular takeout menu and have fantastic open air dining areas in which diners can enjoy their award winning food and drinks.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our TWO new outdoor dining areas. The perfect space for private hire, or sharing a meal with loved ones.

These areas come just in time for the Governments new rules in regard to outdoor dining, and we could not be more thrilled with how they have turned out.
